Koi to Senkyo to Chocolate English patch 1.0

Basic Translations

Last update

It’s been a long ride but it’s finally here, the 1.0 patch of our fan-translation for Sprite’s Koi to Senkyo to Chocolate (Or “Koichoco”). For us this marks the end of an enjoyable project that started small and simple, but ended being much more work than we originally expected. Something that eventually resulted in long waits between updates. Buuut, let’s not go there today, right now you’re probably only here for the patch.

Before I can give it to you however, there are a few small notes to make:

First I’d like to thank the entire team for all the work they put into the translation. Thank you for all of your precious free time out of your day-to-day schedules.

Second, I’d like to thank you all for the support over the years. I’m not sure the patch would’ve been released otherwise.

Next, we shouldn’t forget to thank Sprite for making this beautiful…

Megami Tsuushin Chapter 10

018#001

Been awhile since I worked on this… 11 months, in fact. Let’s hope the next chapter doesn’t take another 11 months.
This one’s a beach chapter following up the previous pool chapter. It’s just that this time, it’s Nepgear-centric since this is around the time Mk2 was released. So yeah, Volume 2 start.

Are we there yet?

Basic Translations

Short answer: no. This is the last update of 2014, and it seems a lot of people seemed to believe in a possible Christmas release. I don’t think we ever said anything about that or even hinted at such a possibility. The Koichoco translation is progressing, but still at a fairly slow pace. We’ll get there, just not as fast as many of you would like.

Just hold on to our “projected date” from the October post and you might be pleasantly surprised in 2015 (or not). I think I talked about it before, but maybe it was not the best decision to release our partial patch so early, especially with the knowledge we now have. But what’s done is done. We’ll do our best to bring you the full patch as soon as possible.

Here’s the translation progress for this month:

Common/Chisato: 18398/18398
Satsuki: 8334/8334
Michiru: 6547/6547
Isara: 5919/5919

Kinokuniya Haul

image

Went to NY yesterday for reasons and stopped by Kinokuniya. After wandering around for a couple hours, carefully inspecting the whole floor, I ended up with this.

My inner consumerist actually regrets not getting more (especially that Akagi nendo, so cute), but was already $96 deep when I could just get it  online. Still, I was expecting it to be the B&N manga section on a slightly bigger scale, but the selection was actually pretty overwhelming. All their 2D media was on its own floor, after all. This is definitely one of my favorite  in The Big Apple and I’m gonna make sure to stop by again next time.

Just in time for August

Basic Translations

It feels like updates are slowly getting further apart, perhaps it’s due to the lack of progress over the summer. But we still try to keep you updated on our progress on the Koichoco translation as good as possible. So let’s start with some good news: The translation itself is now as good as finished!

Now…don’t get too excited just yet. I think I’ve already mentioned it a few times, but we’re still far from a release. Strange as it may sound, translating a game is not only about the translation. Before it’s ready for release it’ll still need to go through several stages of translation checking, editing, quality control and even more random testing. And in that regard we still have a long way to go.

Here’s the current status:

Common/Chisato: 18398/18398
Satsuki: 8334/8334
Michiru: 6547/6547
Isara: 5919/5919
Mifuyu: 5425/5425

Translation: 397/397 files
Editing: 228/397 files
QC: 165/397 files

As you can imagine we’ll…

Love Battle! Doodles & Brainstorms

Image

Seems this guy’s still at it, now with “background info” on Eri, Hanayo, and Nico, as well as how Maki, Kotori, and Honkers got their cars, all of which are the translated bits. The artist seems to be a bit of a Honda fanboy considering 1/3 of the main girls have one, and it’s a damn shame that his only Toyota is a 30 year old Corolla have a taste in cars that differs from mine and that’s perfectly okay. At least he’s got the Doritomobiles and I hope he continues further with this little spinoff.

It’s finally here

Basic Translations

About two and a half months later we can now present you with our group’s first partial patch. This patch will translate the game’s initial playthrough (Common + Chisato) and the game’s interface. You should not run into any Japanese text if you start with a fresh install. (You can delete the files in SystemSaveData if you want a fresh start). The patch is considered a BETA release and while we’re happy with the overall quality it may still contain typos and other minor mistakes.

Patch versions & OP

We’re releasing two versions of the patch. The original version and a modified “All-ages” version, which has the explicit scenes removed and some minor CG changes. You’re free to choose whichever version you’d like to use.

Apart from the different versions we’ll also provide a separate download for the game’s OP. You’re free to download this file and copy it to your…
